Fees

Health Services does not bill insurance companies. Should a student incur billable services in Health Services (lab costs, medications, medical supplies and services such as driver's license/permit and other physical exams ), the charge is billed to your student account, and a walk-out statement/bill can be printed through your patient portal. You may then submit your walk-out statement to your personal health insurance for possible reimbursement.

  • PPD-Tuberculosis skin testing $25**
  • Tdap $55**

**All fees are subject to change based on market cost.

Health Services maintains a small medication dispensary for some common medications. Health Services is not a full-service pharmacy and cannot fill prescriptions from other medical clinicians outside of the college health service. Most over-the-counter and prescription medications available are billed at cost to the student bursar account. These may include medications for illnesses such as viral and bacterial infections, upset stomach, seasonal allergies and others.

Various medical supplies are stocked in Health Services most have no cost. Some orthopedic and other specialized supplies are billed at cost to the student account.

Health Services is able to provide basic lab services on site such as: urine dipstick, urine pregnancy, monospot, rapid flu, COVID-19 and Strep A testing at a minimal expense to students.  Other lab services are provided through Quest Diagnostics. Services such as phlebotomy and specimen collection handling are provided by our qualified nursing staff.

Lab specimens are sent to Quest Diagnostics and billed through the student bursar account. The Student Health Insurance Plan generally covers most lab fees.

Health insurance plans vary widely. Some non-College health insurance plans may not cover lab fees for Quest Diagnostics which may be "out of network".  Please be aware of your individual insurance coverage policies and how they would pertain to services "out of network" or "out of state". Students should call their health insurance carrier prior to getting routine or non-emergent lab tests done to confirm eligibility.
