The Provost's Office is dedicated to supporting faculty in their teaching practice. Through a range of resources and programming, faculty are invited to come together to explore topics of shared interest, including inclusive teaching strategies, mentoring opportunities, and more.
Teaching Resources
Teaching and Learning Institute
provides forums for the exploration of classroom practice including Universal Design for Learning Guidelines for Learning Experiences. Funded originally by a grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and now supported jointly by Bryn Mawr and Haverford Colleges, the TLI embraces a partnership model of faculty and student academic development.
Access Services
The Access Services director works with students, faculty, and staff to ensure that students with physical, medical, learning, or psychological disabilities are provided with equal access to all college programs, activities, and services in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (as amended) and Section 504 of the Federal Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
Quantitative Center
The Quantitative Center supports the development of mathematical, logical, and statistical problem-solving skills that are required in quantitative disciplines across the 51¶ÌÊÓƵ curriculum. The Quantitative Center is dedicated to preparing all 51¶ÌÊÓƵ students to solve the complex challenges of our increasingly quantitative world.
Writing Center
51¶ÌÊÓƵ Writing Center provides resources on teaching methods, for all disciplines, to improve student's writing
360 Program
Interdisciplinary and interactive, The 360 Program builds on 51¶ÌÊÓƵ's strong institutional history of learning experiences beyond the traditional classroom, placed within a rigorous academic framework.​ If you are interested in designing a 360 cluster visit the Faculty FAQ page.
Tri-Co Philly
Tri-Co Philly is a semester-long program which connects 51¶ÌÊÓƵ and Tri-Co students, as a group, to the city. Students in the program enroll in two Philadelphia-focused courses from different disciplines. Educational & Scholarly Technology
The Educational & Scholarly Technology team helps faculty with technologies used in teaching and research and provide accessibility and assistive technology, digital humanities, critical making, and computational analysis, and instructional design consulting and project/assignment support.
Libraries & Special Collections
51¶ÌÊÓƵ's Libraries and Special Collections staff partner with faculty to teach with the collections and support research assignments.
