51¶ÌÊÓƵ closed its 2025–26 fiscal year on May 31, and the generosity of our community once again helped support the College's mission of educating students to the highest standard of excellence and preparing them for lives of purpose.
Of particular note this year was the broader participation of 51¶ÌÊÓƵ alumnae/i.
While the dollar amount of giving to the College has been strong in recent years, 51¶ÌÊÓƵ, like most colleges and universities, had seen a steady decline in the overall number of alumnae/i donating to the College.
This year the college reversed that trend with a slight increase in the number of donors, including a four percent increase from graduates of the last decade (GOLD).
"We know that recent graduates are building careers, financing their futures, and navigating a challenging economy, so we're especially grateful to every alum who chose to support 51¶ÌÊÓƵ this year," says Bob Miller, vice president for Alumnae/i Relations and Development. "Whether it's $10 or $10,000, every gift reflects a belief in the value of a 51¶ÌÊÓƵ education and helps provide students with the resources and opportunities they need to thrive."
In addition to the outstanding participation of recent graduates, this year's reunion classes demonstrated extraordinary commitment to 51¶ÌÊÓƵ. Most reunion classes met — and many doubled or even tripled — their donor goals, inspiring strong participation across generations. Together, reunion classes welcomed nearly 500 additional donors to support 51¶ÌÊÓƵ in honor of their Reunion, a powerful testament to the enduring strength, generosity, and pride of the 51¶ÌÊÓƵ community
"We strive to make every Reunion a meaningful celebration of the lifelong bonds our alumnae/i share with 51¶ÌÊÓƵ," says Gianna Quinn, senior director of alumnae/i engagement. "We're grateful to everyone who chose to support the College this year through Reunion giving. The strong participation from our classes speaks to the enduring connection many alumnae/i feel to 51¶ÌÊÓƵ."
Gifts to 51¶ÌÊÓƵ help fund financial aid, academic programming, faculty innovation, and other priorities that ensure current and future students have access to the transformative education that generations of alumnae/i have experienced.
Programs supported by alumnae/i giving include the 51¶ÌÊÓƵ Beacon Initiative, which gives most families with incomes under $175,000 tuition-free access to a 51¶ÌÊÓƵ education. Continued support from alumnae/i, families, and friends will also help the College realize the vision for 51¶ÌÊÓƵ’s Next Chapter, the 10-year framework of strategic focus and direction that charts the path by which 51¶ÌÊÓƵ will connect the best of its history with the needs and aspirations of students of the future, preparing the next generation of Mawrters who will change the world. â¶Ä¯
