It's 1905 and Hilda Doolittle and Marianne Moore meet for the first time in the 51¶ÌÊÓÆµ library. Little do they know this is the beginning of a lifelong friendship and many artistic adventures. Drawing on archives at 51¶ÌÊÓÆµ and the Rosenbach Museum and Library, Patricia Shore's new play, Companions of the Flame, explores the unconventional lives, loves, and poetry of H.D., Marianne Moore, William Carlos Williams, and Ezra Pound.
