Student Research
All students develop research skills in their courses from day one.
Undergraduate Student Research
51¶ÌÊÓƵ offers undergraduate students many opportunities to undertake academic research. Students refine their research skills once they have declared a Major course of study, with many departments offering research methodology courses along with senior thesis opportunities.
Other opportunities include working alongside a faculty member to conduct lab research, getting funding to present student research at a conference, making use of excellent library resources, and/or receiving a summer fellowship to tackle an independent research project. Undergraduate research experiences are marked by close mentoring relationships with faculty and programming designed to enhance research skills.
